Mike Anthony article.

I posted a couple articles from yesterday's practice scrimmage but we'll have to wait until the site is merged. Maintenance.

“The guy can pass,” Hurley said. “And he knows how to move without the ball. And he can guard. He’s got a maturity about him. And we’ve got to get him ready for November. We’ve had this conversation with him. People are dying to see him play. He’s a really exciting player and there’s a lot of anticipation for what he's going to look like this winter. We just have to prepare him mentally for the high expectations and the anticipation and just get him ready for all that so he can handle it and go out and perform like you’ve seen he can perform.”

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Needless to say I’m super excited for this kid. He even shoots with some explosion.

Another article on Mullins. This one from the Courant.

“He’s super talented. His shooting, his sneaky athleticism, just the way he plays is super unique, I mean, he’s a really talented player. And defensively he’s been way better than I thought too,” Karaban said. “I’m gonna guide him, it’s not easy stepping in as a freshman, playing big-time minutes and really dealing with the pressure on yourself, the high standards he has for himself but also just what it’s like to play at UConn.

“There’s gonna be so many ups and downs that every freshman experiences and I’ve been through those, I’m just gonna let him know ahead of time to make those learning curves a lot easier for him. We’re gonna need him and he’s super talented, and he’s gonna be special for this team.”

I been saying it after watching the first hour of tape. Special player and more specifically special scorer if he gets hot he can go off for forty in a game this year.

His range will be logo and he is going to get it off quickly. Like jab step boom ball is out of his hands.

That was in response to someone who thought one of the white guys was Karaban.

That was me. I gave it some thought, decided it was AK. I was at a best ball tournament. The drinks started very early. Posted that waiting to tee off on #16. I actually thought, “I hope I have the guys right or I’ll hear about it”. No surprise, I heard.😂

There are some posters who seem to have an uncanny knack for recognizing every single husky who ever put on the uniform, at a glance. Don't feel bad

"Saw Kyle Bailey at the Houston airport getting into an Uber. Was too late to say hello"

I have to say that I am really excited about Mullins. He looks special and may well be right out of the gate.

we have been hearing for months that his shooting range is the gym. so far nothing has contradicted that.

now he is getting into UConn shape and offensive and defensive mode and no doubt leveling up in passing, defense, pull up shots so yeah 3-level scorer who can play defense and is ~6’6”.

yes to the moon!

Stumbled on this one about Stewart. Adding it here because I think this is the most intense competition we've got.

"Jaylin's putting down the head set and the controller," Hurley noted. "He's in the gym at the rate that you need to be in the gym at. Instead of being a gamer or an influencer, he wants to be a baller. He's on a similar schedule as Alex. You could see it in the sharpness of his game today. He's at a different maturity level and he's ready to take the next step in his career."
