It's why UConn doesn't play Rutgers or Maryland in the regular season. Those teams are content with the weekday matchups being a guranteed W. Plus, they don't want it for recuriting purposes. In a hypotethical scenario, if UConn and Maryland were both in the BIG Ten, then Savacool, Shliger, Losrusso and Zmarkzlak are probably taking the field against Maryland in the Regional rather than for the Terps.
