I'd like to know ... if the future brand is "UCONN" ... why was every UCONN draft pick announced as "Connecticut" instead of "UCONN"??? How long will it be before Roger says " ... Quaretrback from UCONN ..."

Didn't Goodell announce Keith Bulluck as going to school at Alabama or something? Poor Keith had to tell the crowd it was Syracuse.

Goodell would never get UConn right.

Kgun is right. Maybe ESPN and The NFL didn't do their homework. But maybe, just maybe, it's because we failed to properly reinforce with ESPN and The NFL how we want our school to be referred to. If its the former, shame on them--the latter, shame on us. Something tells me we'll hear this--"we told them about our name change but we can't control how they report it". Memo to our staff--not a good enough excuse. I don't remember Jabbar or Ali letting the media get by with Alcinder and Clay and saying, "Oh well, I told them but I can't control what they report".
We can certainly fix this but there's simply too long a list of similar examples of disrespecting UConn by the media. We'll get respect when we start demanding it.

Bulluck was drafted 6 years before Goodell became commissioner

Also, somehow I doubt the NFL main offices are paying attention to UConn's brand change.
