Maybe its been discussed. My son sent me a note stating that according to Fox Sports PR, The UConn/Nova game this Tuesday had 415,000 viewers on FS1 the most watched Big East regular season conference game on that network since 2017.

As he said,
Dear Big East
You're Welcome
Love, UConn

Anyone have the ratings for the last 10 years handy?

1) What was our highest rated AAC game in ESPN?
2) What was our highest rated old Big East game in the 2012-2013 season on ESPN?

Thanks

There are some fans who think a BE without UConn means there's one less team who will beat them regularly. They can't understand that a rising tide raises all ships.

For what it's worth, the most watched college hoops game in FS1 history was on a thursday in January, Indiana-Purdue with 954,000 viewers

Fox main network is also doing well this year with the Big East. St. John’s vs Georgetown game had over 2 Million viewers.

This is not a particularly big number, however Fox has been super happy with the Big East because, while the numbers are not large, the fanbases are wealthy and live in prime real estate. So, they can sell ads for lots of money

UConn will move the needle regardless of conference. Men or women.
The first year the Big East was on Fox, their 3rd highest ranked OOC game was a UConn game. The UConn women.

The nova game also had to be huge with the social media aspect as well. There wasn’t a person in sports who didn’t reshare or comment about the Hurley ejection it seemed like I was scrolling forever with just that. Big promotion for the league/teams/network.

That’s great news!

Top 3 regular season games on FS1 are all Big Ten Conference games.

ESPN gives UConn at least 1 million viewers in a marquee matchup, but this is really good for FS1.
Not sure that is true. Games on ESPN for the most part are rare to get over a million viewers. Those would be a Big Ten game. Duke vs .... Kentucky vs.... or Kansas vs .....

UConn in the past was getting 1m. I don't know what college basketball is doing today.

But this is pretty easy to look up:

2 years ago the marquee matchups were doing well.

Then this happened: College basketball regular-season TV viewership numbers take a dive

UConn Auburn on ESPN had 753,000 viewers.

BTW, when the women used to play on ESPN, they could do 1.5m against the top teams. In fact, in the last 10 minutes of a game against Baylor several years ago, they topped 3m. This is regular season.

Nothing in the link shows as "most games". I wouldn't worry about last year. It was with zero fans. Ratings were down everywhere. The first link are schools that I listed that draw. Yet, in the grand total it's still a tiny percentage that draws 1m or above.
