Hello kind folks,
I am in the slow process of finding FULL GAME videos that highlight Uconns amazing run from 1990 to 2015. They are in mp4 to limit the space it takes on my "little" hard drive, haha. The goal is to compile a digital time capsule, of sorts, to (try) show to my future kids so they can, in a different way, catch the same Husky fever I caught in the early 90s as a young one...hopefully just before our dear Huskies make another run for my kids to see .
Now, I already know there number of games that people think are "missing" from the list above. So I think I will expand this to 75 games in the end, in which case I would love some ideas on 25 more games to add.
I already have some ideas (but I can not find the full games, as of now)
Games I want to add but can not find:
Uconn/San Diego (loss)
Uconn/Zona (OT win) 2002
Uconn/PC (OT win, Jan 2013)
Uconn/PC (OT win, March 2013)
Uconn/Texas (win by 14)
Uconn/Texas (loss) 2015
Uconn/gtown (OT loss) 2013
Uconn/Wvirginia (win, 2000)
Uconn/PC (loss, 1996) allowing PC to go to the BET finals
Uconn/NC State (win, 2002)
Uconn/NC State (loss, 2005)
Uconn/Texas (loss, 2003)
Uconn/Nova (loss, 2006)
I feel like Uconn played a great game vs Gonzaga after 1999 but I do not recall.
Adding those brings me to 63. I am sure there are 12 more games, so please give me some ideas!
The losses make the wins all the more sweet, I do not believe in only having wins in my "time capsule" hence the Florida, Ole Miss, UCLA, Gmason, etc. games included. Some of the losses, objectively, were VERY good games. The Gmason game was incredibly painful, it really broke my heart, but objectively was one of the best tourney games in the history of the sport, it can not be excluded. Other losses, like the 86-83 loss at UNC display a. the heart of Uconn as they made a comeback and nearly won it on the road and b. How important an even greater blue blood viewed a win over Uconn when they were at their peak. This was, objectively, a top 100 regular season game in college ball history and can not be ignored. The loss hurt, but seeing how crazy UNC fans went over a win over Uconn made me (and lots of fans) realize Uconn had "arrived". The OT win over Zona (100-98) was likely a top 50 regular season game in the history of the sport, IMO.
