Any team with Tom Moore on thenstaff has historically prioritized offensive rebounding. This is going back to even before he was at QU. Not in vogue in the NBA necessarily, but he does SOMETHING to teach these kids to o board.

And transition defense is sooo hard to teach. It takes a ton of IQ. Yet another reason why we're prioritizing high IQ in our recruiting.

Thought today our transition D and chasing their shooters off the three point line was vastly improved from recent games. Looked like our guys were committed to playing D on the perimeter for most of the game.

Announcers mentioned we're 350 or so in 3-point defense. Is that true?

O rebounding is great. I chalk this ability to offensive movement and shooting.

Team is tough to guard and that movement makes the defensive rebounding team off balance.

That, and even though UConn I rebounds, there is still a focus on taking away easy baskets in transition.

I don't recall which iteration of that stat was specifically mentioned, but I've heard several variations of 3pt defense being in that range, so yes, it probably was true at the time it was said (today's 3/12 shooting by Depaul probably pulled it up a bit).
