I don't think the sky is falling. The sky is just annoying at the moment. I can't remember the last time I knew the roster by heart. Of course I wish every single one of these guys were staying. But let's not kid ourselves. Every single one of these guys are replaceable. Every single one. Major contributors who transferred in who are portaling or graduating showed up here with little fanfare. Some were high potential players buried on P4 rosters. Some were leading tacklers on good G5 teams. The staff had money and brains and they found them. This year they have more money and more brains and we can find players like those again. We'll just have to learn their names. There are also a bunch of great guys who are staying that will now have the chance to step up and fill those spots. There are also great dudes like Gourdine and Stafford who have stuck with it and their last game with us will be cool and after living through a career at UConn they should get medals. There are other names and yes they get the appreciation too. I don't have any hard feelings for the departures. I would love to see the Robinson/Montgomery/Bell/Yates story finish at UConn. But it won't and next year I will be pulling for all new guys but best of luck to them and wherever they end up I hope it doesn't suck.
