You really can't compare teams from 20 years ago. The kids today have so much more awareness and training from a young age. Many of the top guys are basketball ready.

For what Calhoun did at UConn in the original Big East era, turning CT into a national powerhouse and winning multiple championships is legendary in his own right and he deserves to be recognized as the Best coach ever at UConn, but in this new era of basketball, transfer portal, NIL and Uber competitiveness at a young age.

It's not an apple and oranges comparison.  It's not even a close comparison. Hurley wins probably 9 out 10 times with his guys.

That doesn't mean that Calhoun is less of a coach. It just means that the times have changed
