When UConn beat Florida, the announcer I believe said UConn is 11-1 in last 12 against the top 25.

If it was midgame when he said that, then they were 12-1 after that game, and 13-1 after last night.

That's pretty damn impressive.

Gary Parrish at CBS Sportsline is doing his best to downplay UConn.

He wrote something like, "I know UConn has big wins over Florida, Indiana, Memphis, Harvard and Washington, but they have taken a couple of bad losses as well."

Sorry, Gary, a couple bad losses (I count Stanford on the home floor as a bad one, even though Stanford just beat Oregon AT Oregon, and then Washington St. 84-40). SMU is for real and they fairly dominated UConn that game, and they will beat teams on their home floor this year.

I think the record you refer to is actually against top-25 opponents out of conference (hence being relevant when we played Florida), which is really impressive, and probably includes a lot of the damage we did in 2011. I'm pretty sure we lost to a ton of top-25 teams in conference over the past two years.

So unfortunately, Memphis is now an in-conference opponent an doesn't count towards that record. But it was obviously a big win.

Overall against ranked teams in the past two years we are 5-3, 6-9 when adding in 11-12 season.

Yeah, that's so obvious, hard to believe I got it wrong. On the other hand, I remember beating Cuse and ND last year, but we sure as heck lost to G'town.
