UConn’s Lamb Ready to Follow Kemba Into NBA

While Lamb is clearly ready, it would be disappointing to have him leave with his team on the verge of a championship (which I think we'd be the 2013 favorite if he and Drummond come back).

Barring a miraculous run like last year's, I don't see us putting all the pieces together for a serious championship run. Next year is another story if we get those two back. If we don't, it could be two frustrating, "in-between" years in a row.

Next year's team w/o Lamb & AD is still plenty talented, and we don't even know what the final recruiting class is going to be. It would still be more talented than the 10-11 team, and the loaded teams this year are going to be hit with departures to the pros(UNC, UK, OSU, Baylor). Not sure how you've determined where next year's team fits into the championship picture already.

"One of “those guys” is sophomore sensation Jeremy Lamb, a smooth 6-foot-5 wing averaging 18.9 points and 4.2 rebounds for the defending NBA champs."

I knew we were good down the stretch last year, but I didn't know we were that good!

Next year is going to be pretty disappointing any way you slice it, considering they are ineligable for the tournament.

What, you don't remember when we beat the Dallas Mavericks in the +1 game?
