I thought this too.. was surprised it wasn't reviewed:

Dang, missed the whole game - was watching WVU/VaTech. Also an entertaining game.

Didn't watch it. My guess is that the refs helped the comeback.

Wow. I turned this game off because it appeared UCLA was out-manned physically with no shot at coming back. How do you blow a game like that? Not home but I think I DVR'd and will watch 2nd Half.

They probably blew it by slowing down and taking their foot off the gas. God I hate when coaches do that. Couldn't believe RE2.0 did it the other night. That strategy sucks.

Sumlim will not be the coach of Texas A&M by the end of the year.

When you play to not lose...that's when epic comebacks happen.

if you missed it, whole game is here:

aTm kicked a FG to make it 44-10 with 4:08 left 3rd qtr. Insane that they blew that game.

You quit playing with a 34 point lead. Then you allow your opponent to gain all the momentum and suddenly you're up against a freight train running downhill that you cannot stop.

Sumlin has to be one of the worst defensive coaches in CFB. He has never had a defense worth anything at UH or A&M. All he does is try to outscore every opponent. It doesn't work.

They did the opposite. Threw the ball constantly, didn't run the play clock down at all.

(A&M) quit playing with a 34 point lead
The real issue wasn't A&M taking their foot off the peddle. It was not taking it off enough. They snapped the ball on at least 9 plays in the 2nd half with 15 secs or more still on the play clock. The winning TD was scored by UCLA with 43 secs left. Snap the ball at 5 secs and they would have taken about 1.5 minutes off the game clock. Horrible clock management did in the Aggies.

The only way you lose a game like that is by not taking your foot off the pedal. In fact, if they kneel on the ball every snap in the 4th quarter and melt the play clock, there is a 100% chance they win the game. A&M would have simply run out of time.
