UCLA easily Wins. Cori Close should be getting votes for Coach of the Year, she has this UCLA team playing at high level, perhaps higher then the talent they have.

Like they won easily when the two met earlier this year at Pauley Pavilion? Oops, that game went to OT.

Call me Kreskin, but I predict Washington will come on strong early and fade down the stretch

Bold prediction. They've done that in about half of their conference games this year.

WOW! Gigi Garcia has missed her entire career at UW, but she's getting the start today on Sr. Day!
That's a really nice, classy touch. I can't imagine anything more frustrating than coming back from injury several times, only to get re-injured before you ever get to take the floor, but nonetheless attending practices, being a good teammate, etc., for four loooong years.

Yep, she was always actively cheering for her teammates for 4 years. Never suited up for a game before today.

UCLA can't hit the broad side of a barn, grabbing a ton of O boards as usual. UW up 8-4 at the first media TO.

30-22 UW at the media TO. 10 O boards for UCLA, about the only way they are scoring is on 2nd and 3rd chances. Huskies shooting 52%, Bruins shooting 30%.

Freaking Huskies. Scoreless for about 5 minutes to end the half. Still up 30-26. UCLA is so brutally ugly, can't shoot worth a darn. 33% shooting. Box score says 12 O boards, that can't be right, they have to have more than that.

edit--oops, 28% shooting for UCLA

I will confess, I don't especially love watching UCLA play. They're a bit like ASU with more talent and less precision - lots of ugly misses, and lots of gritty, aggressive defense that makes the other team have lots of ugly misses and sloppy turnovers. The one difference is that they get out on the break a lot more so they do get some pretty fast break points.

Somebody is gonna have to explain to me how Rooks get playing time for Washington. I just can't see that she does anything well.

UCLA had it down to 2 a couple times, but Washington back up by 7. Pleskevich and Bamberger have been contributing nicely off the bench. Should be 9, Miller choked on a point blank shot.

Chou is on concussion protocol, hasn't played in either game this weekend.

Miller is killing me w/ her 2-7 FT shooting. I think she's near 80% on the year, don't know what the deal is today.

Pleskevich playing out of her mind, 12 pts on 5-5 shooting. Averages about 2 ppg.

I agree. It feels like Texas lite. Too much talent to play so ugly.

Senior Day in Seattle.

Where's that record book that Villanova just got through throwing out.

Pleskevich and Bamberger both with career highs (15 and 12). 62-51 4:12 left.

Bamberger just went down on a block out on a FT, that doesn't look good. Rees is already out. Now only 1 post player.
