Chantel Horvat, off the bench, was the second leading scorer for UCLA with 14 points.

I've always been a big fan of Onyenwere, but she's a lot more fun to watch when she's not cutting through your lanes and making your team cry.

Is there still no word on Haley Jones?

Always fun to see Stanford get an education.

Any idea why Haley Jones didn't play?
Stanford has 3 key players (Carrington, Dodson & Jones) who have all suffered injuries and may be out for the season. Stanford does not comment on player injuries, so it adds to the general uncertainty regarding these players status.

Stanford is still without the services of senior guard DiJonai Carrington, junior forward Maya Dodson, and freshman guard Haley Jones. With a brace on her right leg, Jones sat with Dodson and Carrington on the bench in street clothes.

Stanford has not given a timetable on the return of the injured athletes but did offer a small tidbit on who might return first.

“Maya might be the closest, you know, so maybe we might have, have Maya. But, you know, even if we do, it’ll take a while for her to get in the swing of things. There’s no doubt that we miss those experienced players.”

I was watching this game and the Stanford announcers did not mention either Dodson or Carrington but did mention that Jones was “hurt” and out. That is something I thought was interesting not that it tells us anything...
