USA Leads 26-12 end of 1st qtr. Collier started slowly, picked it up late scored 6 points in qtr. A'ja scored 7. Have to think MOP is between A'ja and Napheesa

USA Leads Canada 50-32 @ the half. Official Stats show Collier with 8 points but I believe she actually scored 10 points in the half.

USA Wins 104-74

Four out of five game Team USA scored 104 points or more. The one game they didn't score 100 points they scored 97. Completely dominated the field.

A'ja Wins MOP of the Tournament. She did have a good tournament, scoring at will in most games.

USA Leads 79-47 end of 3rd Qtr.

Only question left who gets MOP. Will it be A'ja or Napheesa Collier? I'm hoping its Napheesa as she's been the best player on the court.
And Collier is a year/grade younger than Wilson and some of the others. :D

Interestingly enough, she's not a year younger, just a grade younger. I looked up their ages and all the kids on that team were born in 1996. Napheesa was born in September, Turner in July and Wilson in August of that same year. I was surprised as well since I thought she was a full year younger, not just in grade, but chronologically as well. Oddly, every player on that team was born in 1996.

Boykin and Samuelson were both born in 1997.

You're preaching to the choir, girl! I graduated high school in 1982 and college in 1987. In 3 short years, we will be recruiting kids born in 2000 and beyond! YIKES, right?!!

egads! I am older than you!!

Even better. Another year to mature before college, but will be a more mature (older) freshman anyway.

Sort of like Enron employees being the smartest guys in the room, I am approaching the point where I'm the oldest guy in the room. In almost any room. :)
