Reading this article on Tyrese, and combining it with all the articles, videos and other information I have viewed on each of the young men on this team, as well as the recruits on their way... I have to say... I find I am growing a greater affinity for this collective group than I have had for any of our men's teams in quite some time.
Not that I hated on anyone before... because I realize being a high-level D1 athlete is really hard and I have respect for that. But there is a level of work ethic, character, selflessness, heart, toughness and team-first attitude that is just so damn endearing!
And when you throw in this coaching staff (Kimani Young's story is amazing, for example)... it feels WONDERFUL to be a UConn Husky men's basketball fan again.
I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THESE GUYS GO TO BATTLE WITH EACH OTHER!
The phoenix that is UConn men's basketball truly riseth from the ashes once again my friends... Holy crap, this is so damn EXCITING!!!
