West Virginia's Martin to redshirt (foot injury)

It's sad to see her miss the season, but at this point it's surely for the best. Unfortunately, without her West Virginia will have a very difficult time advancing past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. With her, they would've been my dark horse Final Four pick.

Anyone who saw Tynice Martin's tour de force in last year's Big 12 tournament knows that a very special player has been sidelined this season. May she heal completely and return next season better than ever.

Agreed. Similar type of player. If anything I think Martin may be more physical. I don't think that Powers as a sophomore was anywhere near as developed as Martin.

Yeah, comparable but at different ages. Very athletic!
