QB Max Wittek, and TB Silas Redd. Don't tell me CT doesn't produce talent. Just have to start keeping the cream of the crop home.

Not to mention the Golic boys are from CT but they were always going to ND and everybody knew it.

Not real pleased with the idea that he had to move to Cali for real high school football.

Problem is dominant programs in CT like Greenwich and Staples produce very few D1 players. We really need our own version of Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic

Just a hypothetical, but where would UConn be had Bjoern Werner, Jordan Reed, Silas Redd, Mike Golic, John Jenkins, and Khairi Fortt all chosen UConn? I'd bet right around the Top 20. I know these kids were not really considering, but just imagine if UConn can one day keep 9 out of the Top 10 at home.

we were brutal in our first 8 years in ct. we got some good players that RE developed very well but we struck out big time on almost every major player. so far under P we have been making noise keeping top kids home. its not where we want to be yet, but we are getting there.

You can add to that list:

Richard "Big Dog" Kittrell - Iowa
J.J. Justice - Maryland
Matt Shaughnessy - Wisconsin
Kory Sheets - Purdue

I'm sure I'll think of more. They say CT doesn't play high school football...

Been saying it for the last however many years, Jack Cochran is the best football mind the state has seen in forever, sure he made some mistakes but the whole godamn state treated him like a freak, he is the best coach our state has seen at the high school level and I'm confident he's better than HPP. it's a shame our state still acts small time.

Wonder how University of Hawaii feels with Mariota at Oregon and Te'o at Notre Dame.

You are confident that a high school coach who never worked at the college level is a better coach than the Big East's all time winningest coach who also had multiple coordinator jobs in the NFL.

Where do people dream stuff like this up?
