Two by Two Matrix

Not a huge fan of polls but I was thinking about the dichotomies of the Boneyard on two issues. The perception of the AAC (specifically in football) and the perception of UConn (also specifically in football). I'd be interested to see where people fall in their opinions among the following four buckets:

1) The snobs - The AAC sucks and it is beneath UConn football
2) The fatalists - The AAC sucks, UConn football sucks
3) The optimists - The AAC is OK and UConn football is going to be very good
4) The realists - The AAC is OK and UConn football is going to struggle to be competitive

All of this assumes the existing coaching staff stays on for the medium term and the AAC stays intact in its current form for something like three or four years.

p.s. Notice I used the AAC acronym to avoid having to say that the American sucks...

I took the poll before I looked at your personality assessment, and I'm happy to report that I am an official "optimist." The only thing I would argue about your assessment is that #4 is no more or less "realist" than any other choice, until you have data. There is no telling yet if the AAC will suck or not. There is no telling yet if UConn will struggle in it or not. Until those things are known, there is no such thing as the "realist"...

I took the poll before I looked at your personality assessment, and I'm happy to report that I am an official "optimist." The only thing I would argue about your assessment is that #4 is no more or less "realist" than any other choice, until you have data. There is no telling yet if the AAC will suck or not. Yeah, I admit the categorization somewhat spoils the "independence" of the line of questioning. To be completely honest, I also considered just using user profile names instead. And with all due respect, I had you penciled in as the optimist. Fatalist has HFD or ZooCougar written all over it. The "realist" was definitely me projecting myself (and maybe guys like HuskyMedic?) but I couldn't come up with an easy / well known choice for the snob which is somewhat telling.
