[QUOTE="DefenseBB, post: 5110565, member: 7492"] Yesterday's games made me feel better about the Sunday exhibition game as all the teams were having issues. Wow, 9 turnovers by Juju is a problem. On the other hand, she did have 5 blocks, 10 rebounds and 3 steals so she is showing more to her game which is good. She took 19 shots and Iriafen took 15 which is ok for the two AA candidates. The real issue is the 26 turnovers limited their field goal attempts to 55 while Ole Miss had 74. Yikes. I know the effort to "grow the game" is first and foremost but maybe better venue location would be wiser. Paris only had 3,472 for an elite double header (SoCal-Ole Miss, UCLA-Louisville) and then the TNT televised Vegas game of SC-Mich which had 6,397 attending. Better for this game but still the question of putting games where people will go is not being served. Vegas has always been a curious choice for me as the PAC12 Tournament was held there for years with middling success (always 6th among the P5 + Big East Tournaments). To me, there's simply too much to do for the usual visitors of Vegas and for the WCBB afficionado, going to Vegas is not ideal. Did anyone else notice that the mighty SEC had 4 teams lose yesterday? Ole Miss (which was to be expected) but Arkansas to Fairfield, Missouri to Vermont and Texas A&M to Texas A&M Corpus Cristi were not supposed to happen. We know the phrase "Dead man walking" applies to Robin Pingeton who got a reprieve last year solely due to the AD leaving in Feb. Mike Neighbors has to now feel the heat as his team has seen a rash of departures, and I am not so sure the A&M Board of Trustees is loving the $1.5 mil per year contract they gave Joni with so little to show for it.
