What's not talked about (maybe even taken for granted) is how Jim brought UConn bball to state TV. In Fairfield County I recall WTNH broadcasting their regular season games (Tate George and crew) when they were steamrolling that season. In fact, I believe they were picked up in the middle of the season. The fan base exploded!

Then of course, national TV followed, and the recruiting doors opened wide. His teams rarely stunk on TV, and many non-UConn fans were drawn to his teams. Its amazing how somethings about this man will always be remembered as if it happened last week. That's what legends do to you.
