Well....not shocking, I guess. They're pretty good in football, and it's not like we were going to be able to add anyone that would "save" the conference. Welcome aboard???

Welcome aboard, Tulsa! Tulsa, Tulane, SMU, UConn and Navy are the best academic schools in this conference. UMass is not bad, but they are too far behind in football. Navy is ranked #14. The schools founded in the 1900s are UCF, USF, Memphis, SMU, and ECU. The rest were founded in the 1800s. Not all that bad a profile for the conference.

So.....is Scott Cowen going to get us into the AAU?!

Why would Scott Cohen want to help UCONN get AAU status? Wouldn't that just speed our departure from the conference Tulane is just getting into? I'm thinking Tulane and all the other teams want the UCONN brand in the conference.

We are. I can even envision Tulane going to the Big 12. It's all about TV sets, right?

But I know for a fact that UConn is on the radars of other conferences.

Football will draw better than hoop. Those winter games at the HCC are going to be a tough sell
