was awesome and Stokes with her rebounds. Moriah fouled out.

DaddyChoc, were you just being nostalgic with this post? Many/most of us already knew about Morgan's & Kia's performance in this game. It launched Morgan into consideration for AA honors and she was named AAC player of the week. Muffet McGraw said Tuck's big day was hard-earned, calling her "the difference in the game".

Yeah DaddyChoc , I go back and look at last season's games from time to time myself. What a great season the team had. Makes you smile and dream of what could come this season. I dream of it but I don't dare mention it on this board........Because I know CoCo would slap me around a bit and tell me to Wake Up....LOL .

Stokes triple double up next vs East Carolina
That was a great one. Watch the reaction of the UCONN bench when Kiah gets the last item needed for the triple-double. That alone was "worth the price of admission".

Side note - I've often heard announcers say that UCONN players aren't aware of "individual statistical achievements". The bench reaction proved that to be wrong. EVERYONE on the team knew how close Kiah was, and they erupted when she got it.

same with KML with the 3 pt record... pressing to reach it and get it over with

Exactly, Daddy. You are so right! I felt terribly for Kaleena that game. With 7:40 left in the rout of Texas and UConn up by 40-something, Kaleena is seen on the bench wiping her teary eyes. Stewie is next to her and has a puzzled look on her face as she looks over at K, not understanding why Kaleena was so visibly upset. Then maybe 20 seconds later, you can see Geno with his right hand on Kaleena's shoulder, talking to her, probably comforting her, reassuring her. Kaleena didn't shoot well, going 2 for 7 from the three, leaving her six shy of the all-time 3-point record and maybe thinking it wasn't gonna happen. I'm guessing toward the end of the season, and at the most important time- tournament time- the pressure to get that record was overwhelming for Kaleena, and not knowing how many more games she would have after Texas and that perhaps she might not get the record had to stress the hell out of her. BUT SHE SURE DID COME THROUGH.

Eric - nice side note, but IMHO announcers are 99% right in that "the individual (Stokes) is not self-absorbed about the indiv. stats over the team goal." Also, the team knows how certain "Big time Goals" --triple double, national 3 pt. record--really mean. Other than those two I can't even think of other indiv. goals that even brought a mention.

In the 2014 NCAA game against St. Joe's Geno put KML back into a blow out game to secure 1 more rebound and a triple double after it was brought to his attention that KML was 1 rebound short. Of course KML being KML decided while she was in there might as well splash another 3 and another 2 before finally getting the rebound.

In the Texas game Kaleena got poked in the eye early in the second half, which I think affected her shooting. You could see her wiping her eyes while she was at the free throw line later in the game. She more than made up for it by hitting 7 of 10 threes in the Dayton game when every one was important. But she saved her best for last against Notre Dame. When she hit that three to seal the game, I swear Tierney Lawlor jumped higher than Gabby!:p:):D

I think some article somewhere in Hartford Courant Land mentions a quote by Tuck ...something along the lines of "why leave UCONN when I can get a free grad degree?" How awesome to have an opportunity for 5 NC (I know, I know, let's get to 4 first)
