As someone that owns six land cruisers and a couple of other Toyota variants. I’m a Toyota guy, but I have not owned the tundra, but of the three people that I do know who owned them they’ve all gotten rid of them for more powerful trucks. I do drive and work a 1 ton Land Cruiser pickup. But, it doesn’t seem like you’re going to need that power because you’re not going to be towing anything or really hauling anything with any significant heft so the Tundra is a nice choice - make sure you get the 36 gallon vs 20 gallon tank. I think it’s 36 gallon a friend got a sport after having a regular Tundra and discovered the smaller tank accidentally. In general, I’m probably anti-turbo for a lot of different reasons. I think they’re great until they’re not. Plus I have three friends who own independent shops who are all not the biggest fan of turbo so that probably clouds my opinion a little bit but it depends on how long you’re going to drive the car for - I hold most of mine to at least 200k. There’s a reason why the 200 series Land Cruiser is still in very high demand and a major part of that is to he naturally aspirated V8. Maybe a low miles 2021 Tundra with the V8. Always fun getting a new ride, enjoy the process.
