UConn currently has the country's longest *conference* winning streak, having not lost a conference game since the inception of the AAC.

Question 1: How many consecutive conference games (including regular season and conference tournament play) has UConn won?
Question 2: Which team holds the nation's second-longest streak of consecutive conference wins?

My guess....No.2 is Drake 42, No.3 is Belmont 40 , No.4 Baylor 21, No.5 Mercer 17

Impressive! (I'm just curious, where did you find those numbers?)

I just happened across the Drake stat in the following article:

"With more than 20 wins in each season since 2013–14, head coach Jennie Baranczyk has the Bulldogs in prime position to make 2018–19 the season they cement themselves as a top team. Baranczyk has coached the team to a 42-game conference win streak between regular season and tournament play, which is second among active streaks, behind only UConn’s 87 in the AAC."

When Kierra Collier transferred from UW to Drake I looked at their recent results, didn't know previously that they've been so successful in recent years.

I wonder if she's immediately eligible?

While eating lunch I went and googled "women's basketball conference champions for 2017-2018" So it had the regular season and tourney champ listed. So I went through and looked at who both. Only those four outside of UConn went undefeated through conference and conference tourney. Then I just googled their 2016-2017 season and found how long they went back until they lost.

Just a 'correction' - Uconn has the longest active streak and I believe the second longest streak in WCBB history - the longest streak in history belongs to TX and Jodi Conradt in the old Serah Williams conference at 100+ not sure of the exact number.

ODU in the 90s likely had a long conference winning streak as well.

ODU's I think was 49 in the 90s. LaTech had a 52 game win streak to finish their time in the Sun Belt. Not sure how many consecutive games they won in the WAC the following year, but they went 17-1. So somewhere between 52-69 games. UCONN's should continue going for at least another 4-5 years unless something bizarre happens.

Next year's UConn team will be fairly young. I wouldnt be surprised if they have an upset conf loss.

Who in the AAC could contend? You'll have a senior PG in Dangerfield, a junior forward in Walker, plus two sophomores who should get a lot of PT this year in Williams/ONO.

2 years they almost, and arguably shouldve, lost to Tulane. My point is that upsets _do_ happen sometime. And a younger team might be more susceptible to a lapse in concentration.

UCONN has lost 1 game to an unranked team in the last 10-12+ years....I'll be stunned if anyone comes close again in the next few years.
