Trip To Memphis

Flying in to Memphis for the upcoming tourney. I haven't found a thread discussing the city, but would appreciate any input. My first time to The River City. Excited since it should be 30 degrees warmer - tho apparently not today


So fire away. Appreciate input from our Memphis brethren, too. You can only pull up so much info on drinking and dining from Websites. Got like 75 hours to burn

I want to say maybe there are a dozen cities in the good old USA at most that have local music talent that is amazing. Memphis is one. I not a country music fan but I certainly acknowledge the guys that play bars on Tuesday in Nashville have mad skills. But you go to Beale Street and every bar has a blues,/R&B, rock band that just makes you smile and it is all in the space of a few blocks. Yeah in any given night in NYC you could find something outrageously good but as an old man of 52 I gotta say if yo can get to Memphis ans you are a music fan go. And oh yeah watch us win the first AAC tourney.
