My son and I are travelers. We like to go to new places and learn about the history, the people, and see the sights. We’re goi to visit northern Kentucky and would like some suggestions on how to spend our long weekend

The three spots that I would recommend, and hoping that the weather stays nice for you guys and places are open, are: Louisville Slugger Factory & Museum (Downtown), The Kentucky Derby Museum, and Louisville Mega Cavern. As a boxing fan and a fan of Muhammad Ali, I had to go to the Muhammad Ali Center. But a lot just depends on your interest. Have fun.

There are several horse tracks in Kentucky open at different times. I have an interest in pre-columbian history and would visit Ashland. The have ancient mounds right in the center of town. Some think the mounds have an energetic influence on the environment. And it's the birthplace of Charlie Manson.
