I’m super excited about this year. The QB situation is better than it’s been in a long time and Mora is bringing excitement back to the program. As I recall the happiness of those years, I want to salute Zach Frazer. He wasn’t the smoothest, the fastest or the most accurate, but the dude knew how to win. Hopefully, one of these QBs shares that trait. Here’s to you Zach!

He wasn’t the best in any of those categories, but he ok in all of them, and he was tough. I have fond memories of his take charge QB style.

I agree with Palatine. Once Cody Andres was dismissed from the team, Zach led the team on an improbable 5 game win streak.
And Zach was a good dude. He was great to my grandson at The Fiesta Bowl and was candid the morning after when we spoke in the lobby. He said he hated losing the game but loved having played in that incredible atmosphere. Wishing him all the best.

Zach is perhaps UConn’s most underappreciated player ever. Got our biggest wins and led the team.

IIRC ... Charlie Weiss recruited him to ND. The UCONN victory hastened Weiss's firing ... Full circle for Zach.
On a day with many fond memories, listening to the ND radio broadcast post-game was near the top. They were gushing over the "fine young man who believed in himself".

Frazer was a good QB and probably the good QB we had that didn't have to run for his life 75% of the time. He just did what needed to get done to win games and that's what made him special at UConn
