Yeah RIP and hopefully his son can keep his mind on making an impression with the Celtics. Unfortunately this might hurt his chances.

Wow. When I first read the OP's title I thought I read that Tremont was found deceased.

What an awful thing it is to lose a parent. What should be an incredibly happy time for his family is now clouded with grief. Praying for comfort for your family, Tremont.

He is the only recruit dad I have met in recent years. We sat together by chance at Brewster when Tremont played at Kent, and we talked all through the game. During every foul shot Tremont would come over to be coached by him rather than go to his team coach. Very nice guy and traveled to all away games, at least in the region. It was from his lips that he stressed how important education was in his family, and that Tremont's college selection would be based heavily on academics. I guess that proved tongue in cheek.
Geezus dude, what are you thinking? The man is dead.

Damn, so sad. RIP.

Also - that means Tremont played last night's summer league game after finding out his Dad died, right? Crazy. 9 assists to 1 turnover and 8 points on 50% shooting, to lead his team to the #1 seed in the Summer League tournament.

My antennae are fully up.
Kudos upstater on correct grammatical use of antennae vs the incorrect antennas.

Unfortunate news regarding a man who apparently did well to enable his son good academic and athletic opportunities:
