So glad for Lauren. I know it was disappointing to many fans when she left, but I think most of us totally understood and now we get to root for her to excel at BCU. Love that she's a starter there already!

Seems like a not wholly impressive W for Stanford. I didn't see any of the game, but feels like a good sign for Monday night...right?

Stan has a bunch of injuries.
Starter Sara James + Greenfield, B Samuelson, & Payne all missed their last exhibition. Greenfield & Payne are still out, but James & Samuelson came off the bench in BC game. That has meant starting spots for Frosh Johnson and Soph Green, but neither got >15 mins. It seems like James & Samuelson will be starting once ready, but it doesn't look like the Cardinal will be at their best on Monday.

Payne wouldn't play much against UConn and although Greenfield is more experienced than Johnson, I expect Johnson to be a better player if she's not already. It'll be interesting to see if Tara chooses to start both James and Samuelson. Stanford loses athleticism and quickness with those 2 on the floor, particularly together. Camp and Green are both coming off injuries last season but I expect Tara to have them on the court because Stanford will need their quickness.
