Raoul keeps a transfer portal blog for 2020-21 summer that is getting really long. I was just browsing it and realized something that had sort of slipped my consciousness - with the NCAA creating this 2020-21 season as a free season for all WCBB players, that middle ground of talent that has played this season and does not have a glorious future in professional ball has a free ride to their first year of grad school on offer. There will be a lot more players entering the portal as grad transfers this year and for the next three I suspect than have ever been or likely will ever be again. And for those who had a red shirt year or a transfer sit-out year, they could get two years of graduate school. It might actually pump up the talent in mid-level programs that have space to go shopping.

Final Uconn note: Ola Makurat is listed in the transfer portal as a grad xfer from Utah.
