I thought the highest rated 2 seed would be placed in the same bracket with the lowest rated 1 seed? So if that’s the case UConn would be in the same bracket as Maryland correct? Please help me?

The committee frequently departs from a true S-curve for a variety of reasons: to separate conference rivals, geography, and other factors.

Last year UConn was the highest 2 seed but wasn't sent to Portland to play the lowest 1 seed MSU.
