***Warning*** there is optimism in this post.

AAC: UL, Uconn, Memphis, Temple, Cincy
ACC: Duke, UNC, Cuse, Virginia, ND
Big East: Marq, Butler, Gtown, Nova, PC?
B1G: Mich St, Mich, Ohio St, Wisc, Minn?
SEC: UK, Florida, Tenn, Ole Miss, Vandy
Big 12: Ok St, KU, Baylor, Iowa St, WVU?
Pac 12: AZ, Colorado, AZ St, Oregon, Wash?

The AAC should hold it's own in the Top 25 at least for next season. Teams 1-5 are as strong as the ACC and B1G. The bottom half stinks but at least we should be able to count on half of the conference getting an NCAA bid. No other conference will accomplish that except for maybe the B1G.

I think you'll find that East Carolina will be better than Temple this year.

No Creighton in the Big East five? The Blue Jays might just win the conference and McDermott's a near-lock for Big East Player of the Year.

Can't we just optimistically assume that Cuse comes in last in the ACC in their inaugural year?

I, typically, put PC among the top 5 college BBall teams in Rhode Island, each year.

But having them in the top 5 in the CYO is clear evidence of "optimism in this post."

I'm not sold on Creighton. They could very well win the NNBE but I predict them to fall into the bottom half.

You're probably right. I didn't realize that Wyatt was a senior.

I was really saying this because I think East Carolina will finish fourth or fifth in the conference.

Creighton is 57-14 with a pair of Tourney wins over the last two years, beat Wichita State twice last season and returns the best player in the country. Somehow, I think they'll manage in the NNBE.

I am doubter as well. They had a relatively easy schedule until now. I expect Memphis to suffer as well from a tougher schedule. If you look at Creighton's history, you'd be shocked to see how inept they are in the NCAAs. They are always knocked out in the first weekend.

They got Shabazz? When did he transfer?
