I was at the Seton Hall v. Butler game last night st Walsh in South Orange and the game was not close. Seton zone pressed Butler and held them to 11 points at halftime. Butler was better in the second half but our game with them will be about doing the things we want to do in anticipation of playing Tennessee. Here are my top 3 things:

1) So we had KC and Azzi last night return to form and for KC it was finding that rhythm in her game that we only saw briefly before. She let the game come to her, didn't force, and scored in the flow. It's an important development for us.

2) So how about a game with Azzi, Chen, Paige and Sarah all in rhythm at the same time. Wouldn't that be a sight to behold?

3) So many loose ends, Morgan to shoot when open, Ash to get more pull up jumpers, KK to look up court on the break and reduce the dribbling, Aubrey to get more minutes, and Jana and Ice to take every rebound personally and to run the floor better.

Okay, so #3 had subparts, but it's time to button it all up and be the team we are capable of being. It's not about the margin of victory, it's about how we play as a team. As Danny Hurley said last year "I don't know when, but it's coming". Wednesday night will be a good time for it to arrive.

In addition to a blowout win and no injuries...
1) Aubrey getting more minutes and starting to play with confidence and abandon
2) Paige moving past whatever the reasons for this mid-season malaise & joining Azzi, Sarah & Kaitlin in being offensive powerhouses
3) Continued interior usage and effectiveness for Ice & Jana

Winning the game is NO problem. My 3 things are ( 1 ) 5 players with 10+ points. ( 2 ) Win the rebound battle by double. ( 3 ) Press the whole game to get ready for TENN. It' all doable. GO HUSKIES!!!!!

1. I want Paige to play well. It is February. It is time to kick it up a notch. We need her to be at her best against Tennessee and South Carolina. And she needs to play better or first team all American and big east player of the year will be gone.
2. I want us to guard the three pointer. I remember butler managed to hang with us for awhile once. And that happened because they hit us with a barrage of 3 pointers in the first quarter.
3. I want Aubrey to play better. I thought she was really rusty against DePaul. Lost shooters. Passed up shots. She was rusty. Need a little bit of improvement every game from her imo.

This game has no value for the starting five. For them lets just get out with no injuries.

1. Jana and Ice play extended time together. They will need the experience eventually.
2. Morgan needs to play a game that they TELL her to score. She is limiting her playing time by not playing offense.
3. Feature Aubrey in the offense so she can get her offensive footing before a game comes that really will test UConn.

2. Paige and Sarah back on track: Big East Players of

3. Aubrey and ASH meshing with the starter... no surprise there!

1. Play all 12 healthy players
2. Everyone who plays tries to excel at offense and defense, don't pass up open shots
3. Big girls really make an effort to box out, rebound, and make layups and 12' to 15' shots
