Top 3 Things You Want To See Saturday At Creighton. Game is At 5:30 pm on Fox.

Like Geno said, when you have a fourth scorer it changes everything. KC was in control against Nova, shooting the 3 with confidence, not forcing the drives but taking them when they were there, and passing, not dribbling the ball up court in transition, something that KK can still do much better. It looks like it's a new ball game for us, but Creighton away is always a test. It will be sold out and loud and we can't start slow. Here are my top 3 things:

1) Paige to start immediately on offense by being "selfish" with the ball the entire first quarter, just like Wednesday night against Nova.

2) Azzi to get at least 12 shots.

3) Jana and Ice to stay in the flow and both to "catch and release" the ball by taking baby jumpers when they get it below by rebound or by pass. Like Geno said there is no rule in Basketball that you have to try to make 7 moves before you shoot.

That was fun to watch against Nova. Creighton should be grittier, slower and tighter but if we play like the last two games, well.........

So far the Big East has done nothing to prepare UConn for the tournament. I am really hoping that Creighton can give UConn a 40 minute game and challenge the players enough that they need to play a serious game to win.

1. Azzi needs at least 12 shots
2. Morgan to look to score at least a little bit
3. Ice to continue to grow her game back to last years tournament level

1. Lots of rebounds
2. Lots of low post scoring
3. At least one steal that leads to a solo fast break.

2) Have Aubrey continue to channel Clyde Drexler on the front of the break.
3) Have the rest of the front court continue contributing - no backsliding
4) Someday soon see Caroline at the scorer’s table shedding the warmups

Even though Morgan's points are not needed now, I agree she needs to shoot. If she gets to be a 6-8 point scorer per game it's "Katie bar the door!". If you develop a habit of not shooting you won't so have the courage to miss.

I like your focus on Jana. We have a good idea what most of the others are capable of but as many have pointed out Jana has only played 20 college games and we really don’t know yet what she is capable of. Since January 1 there have been 7 games. Jana played 20 minutes in one and between 15-18 in the others. It’s not like Geno is giving Ice all the playing time as she has had fewer minutes than Jana in all but one of the games (and she missed one game).

I wish Geno would give Jana more playing time in these Big East games. Let her play through her mistakes, emotions, fouls,etc. Otherwise, don’t expect a different much improved player to show up when she has to compete against Betts and other quality bigs we may meet up with.
