After an epic performance by our two bigs and a demonstrative win despite a depleted roster, here are the top 3 things I want to see against Marquette:

1) More of the same from Aaliyah and Dorka. The transformation in Aaliyah from last year has been unique and sensational and she is playing like a true All American. We also saw Dorka enjoying herself and imposing her will and she is playing better and better with each game. They had a combined 45 points (2 less than the entire Creighton team) and they out rebounded Creighton themselves 38-27. Yikes!

2) No new injuries.

3) Getting Amari and Aubrey back for this game and Ayanna to just concentrate on playing a good floor game. The rest will come.

I just love this team and how they battle through everything.

You know me, I'm a broken record:

1. More Caroline -- I think her development is the key to our NC run, assuming everyone else is healthy

2. The bigs dominate... again

3. We run... and run... and run. We can totally run Marquette right off the court.

1. no more injuries
2. No more silly passes leading to turnovers. We seem to get 5 of these a game….
3. Figure out a way to get AP and AD development time. These two could be key substitutions when it matters later on.

More production from the back court (I think the Creighton game was an outlier in that regard).
More of Aliyah and Dorka doing their thing.
Continued improvement in the turn over number.

See, I'm probably one of only a minority of BYers who agree with you about #1. If she gets back or forward, however you want to call it, the 3 position becomes a nightmare for other teams. She is 6'2" with a longer wing span and Aubrey plays bigger anyway. CD can score from anywhere but her offensive skills were better last middle season. I think it's just confidence and she needs that one 20 point game to break through. I am waiting every game for it. She had 11 and 8 last night but she turns it over at the beginning of her game and takes wild shots at times that are not with her feet set. She also has gone through a lot so we have to be patient. If you get 25 points and 15 boards from the 3 position every game, you aren't losing in the Big Dance until April, if at all, especially with our monster inside game and Azzi coming back.

I'd like to get a clear read of Patterson's talent (or not). Great energy even when not playing her best but Geno needs to understand what he has soon.

New to the Forum so please pardon me if I create a faux pas on my first comment. MY wife and I are going to the game on Saturday. Is there anywhere in Gampel to be able to watch the MBB live at 12PM

My sentiments exactly.just what I said for the Seton Hall game and Creighton game.I do not believe there is a team out there that can run with Uconn. Our conditioning is great and the fast starts we have had the last 3 games is a demoralizing effect on the competition as they can't do it. No injuries and no muggings. GO HUSKIES!!!

Agreed, Mdoggie. It's a bit early in Ayanna's UConn career to be calling for a bottom-line assessment of her talents, don't you think?
