If we can get a win Saturday against NC state, does UConn crack the top 25 on Monday?

Would be cool but right now we are 49 in kenpom. A lot of teams above us would have to lose to teams that are worse then us.

Bottom line, if we win Saturday vs NC State, we are in the top 25. And that's saying something considering we have not been ranked in like 4 years. Things are looking up.

My guess is we would be getting some votes but not in it yet. If we can pick up the extra game next week and then look good in beating St. John’s in the opener then we will get in.

I think we would be top 5 receiving votes if we can beat NCState. If we can get to the Creighton game undefeated we’ll be ranked.

This morning, Sagarin has us at 41 and NC State at 29. I agree with Jbirdp5. If we win against them we start being an "Also Receiving Votes".

It really depends on what other teams do, and how well we play. It will be close.

I don’t think so. We were 37th in the last AP Poll and USC/NC State didn’t get any votes. Don’t think that gets us into the top 25. Add a game Monday and if we are at 7-0 after Big East opening weekend I think we are.

Voters don't pay as much attention to detail as many think. If we beat two P5 teams back to back, with one being the prime game on ESPN, I think there is a decent chance we crack the list. The BC game after ours was a blowout, the announce team spent a good part of the final few minutes of that game talking about UConn.

We’ll continue receiving votes. I’m not seeing any big games this weekend that will tilt it in our favor, would have to be a big loss by a few top 25 teams in my opinion

I agree with this. NC State is a perfect example, being 29 Kenpom and not even receiving votes. We should crack it if we win, especially a convincing win.

We have 6 votes in the AP poll. By the numbers the would rank us about #37. A few teams above us lost. If we skip past a few that didn't lose we could just crack the tail of the top 25.

According to Andy Katz, he believes we will be ranked if we beat NC State.

Assuming that game against Richmond happens, if the Huskies beat NC St. and Richmond they are definitely ranked after that. Although that would have to be the poll of 12/14 and there are Big East games next week after the Richmond game so can't drop those either.
