I think Nika Muhl should be in the list.
Agree 100% Boston is way overrated.A clear case where reputation (Boston) wins out over performance (Seagrist). This is supposed to be based on tournament performance and Boston, and her stats, are no where near 3rd in a list like this.
She absolutely should have been on the list!!I think Nika Muhl should be in the list.
It doesn't say it's based on tournament performance, just remaining players left in the tournament. Hard to argue Boston isn't among the very best in the country. Even with modest stats last game, she completely shut down Dulcy FM of South Florida who is a big athletic and extremely skilled post player. That was a huge reason USF was held 25 points below their normal scoring average--that type of contribution shouldn't be overlooked. Siegrist should be higher (arguably as high as #2, but definitely ahead of Edwards/Miller).A clear case where reputation (Boston) wins out over performance (Seagrist). Are you looking at just points or defense as well? Full disclosure, I think these types of 'lists' have too many variables, team makeup, opponents, minutes played, position, role, etc. to ever be decisive or even fair.A clear case where reputation (Boston) wins out over performance (Seagrist). Who would you take off to add her? The list looks pretty good to me.

But at least ESPN didn't put Boston as the #1 player like before.
BadfordRam,BOSTON isn't overrated one bit, she's just not getting the minutes the others are.
If you read the write ups on each player and why they are ranked where they are, it's very clear that the ESPN writers are basing their ranking , in this list, on tourney performance-those are the stats used.It doesn't say it's based on tournament performance, just remaining players left in the tournament. Where would you rank Aliyah Cardosa?Agree 100% Boston is way overrated.

They write up the stats of those players in the tournament to say how they're performing so far, but they never indicate that their ranking is based tournament performance. If that were the case, Lopez-Senechal wouldn't be on the list at all (only 8.0 ppg in tournament play) and Lucy Olsen would be (16ppg, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists). If you read the write ups on each player and why they are ranked where they are, it's very clear that the ESPN writers are basing their ranking , in this list, on tourney performance-those are the stats used.
Aliyah Cardosa is ranking super #1 at Uganda Women College Basketball Association.Where would you rank Aliyah Cardosa?
