Here's a look at the Top 25 non Power 5 conference teams from the BCS era. A few qualifiers:

— Schools are ranked by winning percentage and must have played at least five years in the FBS.

— This list includes schools that did not move up to a power conference during the BCS era (1998-2013). That means Utah is out. Notre Dame and BYU also are excluded.

That was a nice read. Was thinking the whole time we should be higher until I saw the overall record and all I could do was curse out two old men in my head.

I would have thought Cincinnati would be higher, given their recent run of success. I can not wait until the last 3 years of garbage are leveled off by a few seasons of competitive seasons.

I guess this is ok, but over all, I'd also guess UConn & Cincy had the toughest schedules among the teams listed. Hard to think that MAC and Sunbelt were equal to some of the teams we played. But based on the ranking system they used, this was probably fair.

It's fair. Hate to bring back terrible memories but UCONN lost to Western Michigan in 2011 & 2012 and they were ranked 25!

Quite a fall from grace. It perfectly sums up the amount of damage done by PPGDL coupled with bungling CR. Can the new season start fast enough? Lets put the nightmare behind us.
