I find it funny that the Big 12 doesn't think UConn can add anything for them in football, yet we'd likely be the 3rd or 4th best team in that league next year. Gotta think they add us even to just keep us out of the ACC

In their defense, it has been quite a while since we've had back to back winning seasons and, at the time they most recently denied us, we hadn't had a winning season in nearly a decade and a half.

Once we demonstrate the ability to sustain a reasonable level of success we will be viewed far differently by other conferences.

Have a winning season, you have a winning team.

Have winning seasons for 5 years(arbitrary #), you have a winning program.

The greatest challenge to developing and sustaining a winning program at UConn is managing the rapidly changing landscape of Collegiate Athletics. Looked like the Huskies got a handle on the Transfer Portal and NIL, and were trending up. Enter revenue sharing. All the folks involved in supporting the program are working hard to maintain a cutting edge with regards to how to get the Jimmy and Joes to Storrs, without the benefit of a Conference. Winning and $ cure alot of ailments. Winning in a Conference cures more.

The outlook for UConn FB 2025 is very positive. Maintaining that trend line is a challenge.

Memphis is losing a ton of production. Just on offense they are losing their career leader in passing, top RB, top 3 WRS and their top TE.
