SBN college hockey came out with their list of the top NHL prospects in college. The list includes players who have been drafted and those who have not. The only UConn player to make the list was Derek Pratt at #98. Ryan Segalla and David Drake, both who have been drafted, did not make the list. Hockey East led the country with 37 NHL prospects in the top 100, including 7 in the top 20, 6 from BC and Jack Eichel from BU. Only UNH and Lowell did not have a player in the top 100.

98. Derek Pratt, Defenseman, Connecticut(Free Agent)

The Northfield Mount Hermon alum has played in all but one game for Mike Cavanaugh's Huskies this winter. Described as a rink rat by his teammates, he's a student of the game who plays well in his own end and is very sound defensively. He plays a quiet but effective game. A free agent, he was coached by his dad, a BGSU alum, in prep school.
