Top 10 fun statistics from the West Chester game....

It is perhaps beyond silly to get excited about the first game of the season, especially if it is an exhibition, but that is all UConn fans have this week. So, until Sunday's game, enjoy the top 10 fun stats from the West Chester game:

1. Kiah Stokes did her best Stef Dolson imitation and just missed the "triple double" w/ 13 pts, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks. All that is just 21 minutes..!!

2. MoJeff, Saniya, Kia Nurse & Courtney Ekmark shot a combined 13 for 13 from the free throw line. Go ahead, foul our guards, I dare you..!

3. Gabby Williams led the team w/ 5 offensive rebounds. Combined w/ 6 defensive rebounds, she makes a great case for playing down low & "in the paint."

4. Chong & Nurse played a combined 42 minutes and had 2 turnovers.

5. MoJeff led the team w/ 19 pts, including 8 for 9 inside the arc and 3-3 from the free throw stripe.

6. UConn had 10 blocked shots, West Chester had 9 baskets.

7. Stewie & KML shot a combined 13 for 24 (54%) from the field, made 5 three pointers, grabbed 14 rebounds & handed out 10 assists. Plus, they had only 2 turnovers. Stars getting it done..

8. UConn's bench scored 39 pts, also made 5 threes & had 4 turnovers in 81 minutes. West Chester's team had 26 pts, 1 three & 24 turnovers.

9. UConn's defense had 18 steals vs. only 16 fouls. The offense had 23 assists vs. only 11 turnovers.

10. UConn had 11 different players score, 9 players get a rebound, 8 players get an assist & 6 players nail a three pointer. Including TLAW..!!

Don't expect anything different this coming weekend. Looks like Post isn't as "big" as West Chester.
West Chester had 4 players at 6-0, Post doesn't have anyone that tall.
