Our offense is 99th, though. Yikes.

That said, Miller, Purvis, Hamilton, Gibbs, and Adams are all too good offensively, I think, to not cohere at some point. I think Hamilton breaks out of this funk very soon and we start to look really good.
A good DHam opens everything up.

This is impressive and surprising to me. I recall screaming at my TV countless times early on when the d was allowing guards to attack the lane seemingly at will.

Since Brimah went down the perimeter d has really really stepped up. I hope with his return the team does not switch its strategy and funnel everything inside to allow brimah a chance to block shots as it seemed was the case early on this year. Once we get out of the recent offensive funk things should shape up nicely for us.

And when we get Amida back our defense will bump up a couple notches.

I'm not so sure. Team defense is more about chemistry, communication, understanding positioning and BB IQ than it is about individual shot-blocking ability. I'm eager to see it though.

That post was from December 22nd, 2 days AFTER we played UMass-Lowell (our first game without Brimah). We gave up 79 to a terrible UMass-Lowell team at home which caused our def. . to plummet. Either way, we weren't top 10 - and that is a testament to Ollie and these guys stepping their game up on the defensive end of the floor. And for that reason, I am damn excited to get Brimah back and see just how great this team can be defensively. National championship caliber defense?

Does the committee look at KenPom? I think they rely heavier on RPI

Nope, but its a much better barometer of where we stand at the moment, which a pretty nice arrow pointing up.

What is a kenpom? Is this a persons ranking? An advanced statstic/s?

And in no surprise, Rutgers, at 277, is the lowest ranking P5 team in kenpom. There are no words...

Stop taking bad shots and the offensive efficiency will improve greatly.
