Tonight's games that start after 7 p.m. that include ranked teams are:

UConn (1) Cinn (u)
So. Car (2) Arkansas (u)
N.D. (3) Georgia Tech (u)
Baylor (4) OK State (u)
Maryland (6) Ill (u)
Duke (12) UNC Wil (u)
Tenn (13) Stetson (u)
Northwestern (14) Penn St (u)

How many upsets will there be tonight (not counting USF/Miss, St. which is already underway)? Just pick a number from 0 to 8.

To be declared THE winner though, if your pick is higher than 0, you must identify your upset pick/s.

For all of those who pick 0 and end up being correct, to be declared THE winner you must also pick the 1 losing team who will end up scoring the highest number of points out of all 8 losing teams. (if a tie breaker is still necessary, the winner will be the first entry submitted. All entries submitted as time-stamped after 7:05 p.m. will be declared invalid. All of your information must be contained in your ORIGINAL entry. (no adjustments or changes)

For all those who choose not to include tie breaker data and end up with the correct number of upsets, you will have the distinction of being JV winners.

With all of the WBB experts we have on this board we should get quite a few entries. :D

Ready ...GO!

Okay, it appears that I left out a couple of games tonight, so we'll just have to go with the ones above.

I'm picking 1, Stetson over TN.

The Duke game, the Maryland game, and the Northwestern game are all tomorrow night (Thurs.).
The South Carolina game is Sunday 3 January.

USF getting slaughtered by Mississippi State. I really thought USF was under rated and Miss State over rated. Not a good night for USF or the American conference...

Wow! So much for that app! My bad. :(

My upset would be one not mentioned.

#5 Texas at West Virginia.

Ill take the Mountaineers in a low scoring upset.

The Baylor team on the floor tonight was not a top 10 team. However, they were missing their starting point guard.

That's what happens when you run every play through your point guard - she gets 20 assists in some games, but when she isn't in, everything grinds to a halt. Baylor scored a total of 2 points in the second quarter. Still a shocking result! I may visit the Baylor board to how big a melt down is happening. Their starting guards went 4-24 and 1-10 from three with Alexis Jones (ex Duke) going 2-18/1-10 with 4 assists and 5 TOs while Wallace had 1 assist 2 TOs and 5 PFs.

On the Upset front - good game just started on the west coast between USC and #21 UCLA - USC has an early 5 point lead.

Penn. State upset #14 Northwestern 79 to 72
Brianna Banks had 25 points, including 11 of 12 from the free throw line.

Her transfer is working out very well for her, and has not done any noticeable harm to UConn.

Penn State is now 6-6 and has a chance to make the tournament if they do OK in Big Ten conference play.

USC lost but, Katie Edwards looked good the time she played. Her loss has not caused harm for UCONN either. I believe that was her fourth game.

Sadie is shooting 25% from the field and 23% from three. She apparently gets the green light as she's taken 13 threes in 72 minutes played. But she's essentially a freshmen.
