Tonight's Broadcast - UCONN vs. Tennessee

I like Meg. She also brings a player's insights to the game. And Alan works well with her. I also particularly appreciate Kara's pre- post- and halftime commentary.
My only gripe with Meg is her calling everyone...'kid'.

I assume that the game is at 7pm Eastern. Is this correct?
ESPN's Women's College Basketball GAME DAY Broadcast, live from the Thompson-Boling Arena at the University of Tennessee will begin tonight at 7 PM EST, with the actual Game Broadcast immediately following, beginning at 8 PM EST

Am I in the minority when I say "College Game Day" doesn't do it for me? Do you think there's any appeal for the players?
I think it depends on "THE CONTENT" of the show. Some segment or event TV producers are very creative, and provide us with "on-air" talent and content that make the show memorable. While others just go through the motions with a show that tells us absolutely nothing, and puts us to sleep.

When I tune in, I want to be told THINGS I DON'T KNOW by "credible" hosts/analysts. You know, somebody that played the game. Not useless drivel that even a non-WCBB on-looker would know that has little or no bearing on the game.

I guess I'm in the minority: I like Holly Rowe a lot. Her sideline interview late in the 2013 Championship game against Louisville is the second funniest (talking) thing I've ever seen in sports (right behind Mary Carillo's Olympic badminton rant).

I like Meg..her and Alan work well together..like others I mute the TV when Peck talks
I agree that they work together very well and I love that SNY televises so many game, including going on the road. I also like the pre and post game shows, especially Kara who is both informative and adds humor to shows like this. The half time show is pretty much a waste with 80% of the time devoted to commercials, but I guess that is necessary for SNY to cover its cost and make a few bucks.

A few guys I usually watch with have some fun with small betting pools. At what point in the game does Meghan say "savvy" ; and at what point in the game does she refer to Aaliyah as "unstoppable" ; and finally how many times does Allen need to correct himself with regard to identifying a player or the refs call? Finally, at some point it seems that one of them need to mention that a certain player makes the same mistake every game, although not always called by the refs as a turnover.

In spite of the above, they are as good of a pair of announcers as most national networks have and I do enjoy and appreciate their commentary

I agree and the women's game needs as much spotlight as it can get if it expects to grow. Whatever accomplishes that is fine with me. Plus, I think they players enjoy the hoopla.

Hope we get another Game Day for the already sold out visit from Mulkey and company.
Hope you wipe the floor with them, beat them by at least 30 points.

I am soooo hoping you’re right! Rebecca’s insights into the play of the bigs, and especially Aaliyah, are golden. And witty banter with Andraya on “talking that guard talk” is just a wonderful plus.
Andraya is an excellent commentator, but I will reserve final judgement until after tonight’s game. Can she put her orange ancestry and current SEC Network affiliation aside during a UConn vs Tennessee broadcast like Kara Lawson used to do?

Many folks do not know that Andraya Carter played for two years at Tennessee until injuries cut her career short.

I miss Kara a lot as a commentator. As knowledgeable and unbiased as they come. Enjoying her even more as a Coach.

Her reactions still crack me up to this day.

I'm glad she got an opportunity to become a head coach. I'm now a Duke WBB follower. I miss Kara. She can call a game for me anytime. She was objective and fair in her assessments, and knew what she was talking about. I wish her all the best going forward.

The badminton rant is classic :D

I like Rowe too. She is beloved by ALL of the WNBA players, and that's hard to do. Holly is everywhere. She does college and pro football around the country as well. I think she likes her job. Her bosses sure like her. :)

I thought they weren't too bad tonight, but I will never be convinced the sideline reporter is worth having whether it's Holly or Maria.

I think Gary Apple and Kara are just great. Meg and Alan are very enjoyable and I think cover all the important points.

Shocked that Carolyn Peck picked us to win. Not surprised that the other two dilettantes didn't.

Sadly we'll lose Gary in a couple of weeks to Mets spring training.

I’m happy the duo of Ryan & Rebecca are back together. However, I may have to skip the “Game Day” hour as it’s extremely hard for me to listen to the UConn-hater Carolyn Peck.
Carolyn Peck was the only one of the halftime crew to pick UConn to win before the game.
