Rumors were abound that Tommy Lloyd was leaving Arizona for UNC after the tournament. This gained more speed when in interviews coach Lloyd was answering questions from reporters reminiscent of Roy Williams while at Kansas before leaving for UNC.

Lloyd is officially staying at Arizona.

LLoyd didn't like his direct boss in Desiree Reed-Francois, the athletic director, and used North Carolina as leverage. Well played, Tommy. He told that president of Arizona, "I will stay, but I am not working for that b--" and asked for more money for assistant coaches and player salaries.

I can’t imagine there’s too many schools where the head coach reports directly to the president of the university. Not exactly a vote of confidence in the athletic director.
