Tom Crean | The Boneyard

I recall some posters saying that if UConn did not land Hurley they should chase Crean.. Crean was a top three choice for some.

Didn't want Crean. Don't want him now. He COULD have said..."We hoped we would be better, but knew this was a process, and it might take a little while." Think about it.

Tom Crean has gotten less out of more for years. Edwards will be the same. He's Lorenzo Romar if Lorenzo Romar was a complete ass.

This shows, at least for this player, that the path to the riches of the NBA means a lot more to some kids than most of us on the Boneyard care to admit or want to accept.

The nostalgia of UConn's rise to greatness, and the four NC's, is great for us but any hints recruits are given about factors that might get them where they want to go (like how Crean's coaching was the reason for Wade and Oladipo's success) are more important.

Crean was able to overcome his team's losing record this year, a long history of mediocrity, and his mania on the sidelines just by mentioning two names.

Huh?

If what you're saying is that a kid cares more about what's going to get him to the NBA than some dusty nostalgia then you're not really breaking news.
