We have some issues as a team; I would not list our D as a top 5 issue. Orlando did a great job here. As for Brown, while I loved his approach, his D too often let games slip away late. You can blame an incompetent O all you want, but there were too many late leads we could not hold under his watch

Todd Orlando is an exceptional coach. Was sorry to see him leave, but he had gotten to the point where he was going to be a DC without having an associate head coach over him in the pecking order. I don't think it was ever total clear how he and Hank Hughes ranked or shared responsibilities on the D side. I have mixed feelings about Brown. He is very good at instilling his type of D, but I don't know that he's very flexible at looking at personnel and game situations and determining when dialing it back is appropriate.

Amazing what happens when you have better players. That Oliver kid from Houston is unbelievable.
Branch, Butler, McClain, Moore, Reyes all played for Orlando and are now in the NFL
IIRC Stephens, Adams, and Jones played for Brown and are in the NFL.

Brown's defenses were feast or famine, but Orlando's defenses were almost always solid. We played great defense, and ran the ball, that's what we did, and we did it well.

I am a big Todd Orlando fan. But we never had a talent like Ed Oliver.

It's pretty annoying watching how good their defenses are.

"Todd Orlando and Don"....did anyone else immediately think of "Tony Orlando and Dawn"?

Orlando's defenses have been much more aggressive at his other stops than they were here. I think the defensive philosophy in place was much more Edsall's than Orlando's.
