I don't think Geno will go with 5 guards against ND, but if he did, who would Peter's cover?

An interesting strategy would be to have whoever she is guarding play away from the basket on offense and open up the passing lane for the other 4 guards.

Would MM counter with another big? Go small to match up?

I don't see the UConn small five able to consistently stop a large, tough veteran team.

Good thing they are playing ND. They are only tough and veteran.

Here's a blurb from the SBTrib article on yesterday's ND-USF game. All is not well with the Irish of late. Surprising that the author would talk about a lack of "want to." ND has relied a great deal on turning teams over with its press. ND learned yesterday that although the Bulls may be an "average bunch," they handle full-court pressure very well. Geno said after UConn's game against USF that they are impossible to press. Needless to say, UConn needs to take care of the ball Monday night. ND's guards have really quick hands and they score a lot of easy baskets off of turnovers
Somehow, some way, the Irish have to get better. Saturday's
blue-collar victory over an average bunch of Bulls was hardly
something on which to hang a shamrock. Play like that Monday and Geno
Auriemma and the Huskies will get a slice of the Big East title.

It starts with passion. No substitute for a good team with "want to."
That hasn't been the case lately. Time to take the Irish off cruise
control and put down the throttle.
