No energy--launching long threes and no Bazz ---only down 9 though--need to make a run now !~

We need better defense down the stretch here. They have gotten too many open shots or lots under the basket.

SMU's only bad loss was Temple but as bad as we are playing they are getting after it.

To this point it's been a pathetic performance. Even if they get hot, the defense has been crumbling.

Can't figure out what we are trying to do. Drive and throw up a prayer so SMU can rebound it?

The most obvious difference is every time smu needs a big shot they drain it while Uconn has had ours rim out time and again. The guys don't seem to have it on offense today and a lot of that can be credited to smu's defense.

If we don't get better, more consistent play out of DD, we won't win more than a game in the tourney.

the problem with being a team reliant on outside shooting...guys like Daniels and Giffey are terrible defenders and rebounders, so when they don't score they are huge negatives. SMU is well coached, especially defensively. Notice how uconn crashed boards so effectively? they never left uconn shooters and uconn's big guys who rebounded almost never were able to cash in. And they kept bigger defenders on Bazz all game and he struggled, as did Boatright. Its easier said than done, but its a good recipe to beat Uconn

Bull. Absolute bull.

They deserve no credit. UConn was not ready to go today and that is unbelievable.

If we played great and were ready to go and played with energy and were prepared and they still beat us than yeah, give them credit.

They get none. They had no good road wins coming into this and now have one and that's on us more than anything.

SMU certainly out coached UConn today that's for sure.

believe whatever you like but they have now beaten us twice.

Did Calhoun use the term "bogarted"; well we were bogarted today. SMU is a much tougher team than we are.

Toughness hasn't been our hallmark this year. Boat and Bazz yes but they can't do it alone.

I agree with most of your post, but neither Giffey nor Daniels are terrible defenders.

DeAndre struggles in certain matchups, sure, but he's not bad. And Giffey is one of the best perimeter defenders they have.
