Right away the bounce in their step was tremendous.......everyone attacking and moving fast off of double teams back to their guys rather than the lollygagging we have seen lately.........some nice pressure and many hands in the face of the 3 shooters, made them rush a few.

Shabazz - not bad still passing up open looks as his xonfidence is rattled. For the most part played better D and passed the ball a little quicker..........

Boat - Tremendous athlete, first step is ridiculous if he has a seam. Needs to make the jumper more consistently too ease his penetration. He would become virtually unguardable if he tightens his jumper up like Kemba did over the 3 years. Threw some horrific passes and because of the way they are playing offense needs to take care of the ball a lot better. But no matter he's the catalyst. He and Bazz got into Theodore's head for sure. Great talent..........

Lamb - played pretty good need more from him though. He starts out games rebounding the ball and then hides or something. Could get 8-10 a game if he drifts in on jumpers rather than leaking. Needs to shoot those of the curl rather than looking to go. Good energy and much better overall today.

Drummond - If he reaches they should take him out....he needs to be much smarter in so many ways. When he gets it 3 feet away on the baseline make something happen, anything - jump hook, dunk anything but throwing it out. He blocks shots from 2 guys away and we need this guy hanging around the hoop and out of foul trouble so the little fouls need to go away......his fall away jumper needs to go away he's too strong always going towards th ebasket needs to be drilled in his head. He made a difference in the 2nd half though.....not bad.

Oriahki - better I guess.....great energy for him but if he dribbles it 3 times again and throws it out to the wing who is being denied the ball I'll go through the screen. He was aggressive on the boards, kep a few alive but missed a bunny or 2 also, especially the all-alone putback, can't happen. Overall not bad, liked his smile and he was a great teammate today encouraging everyone and that really is a good thing.

Bench - Olander started and was fine. Daniels had a brain fart moment when Boat made a great penetration and kick to get him open for the 3 and he ballfaked and did nothing. If he isn't going to take that shot then he's going to sit. Giffey had some energy and Roscoe made a couple jumpers to help extend the lead.

All in all they seemed to have a little more fun out there as the passion and some smiles were back. They played harder and seem to realize the task at hand.

Louisville will be a huge test to see where they're headed at this point. Tough road ahead so let's see how they are backs-to-the-wall.

I think you undervalued Alex's play today, and grossly overvalued Giffey's. He really did nothing except turn the ball over twice.

Individual performances aside, it was great to see smiles and enthusiasm from the guys today.

I disagree on Alex but that's okay ..................10 and 8 against a Hope-less tiny Seton Hall team is okay I guess but may be overvalued by some. There were TO's and missed passes still but again, the smile, the leadership was more important and I hope he can continue that.

I thought Alex had a better game...and at least looked more positive.
First time I've seen him without the arm pacifier. Was that for medical or
psychological support?

I agree. This was a nice win for the team. It gets the "creepers" off our backs. I can't see us going into our game Monday against the Cards on a 4-5 game losing streak. This win today, gives a little sigh of relief. We gotta keep the same energy going Monday against the Cards. But I am glad that we won today.

Boat comes off as a Kemba, Jr. That kid is probably going to be a lottery NBA pick.

Sure If he plays against SH teams. You must be doubly excited, and that's a good thing, but please hold your horses on the 'lottery' statement.

Seton Hall beat us earlier this season, didn't they?

Roscoe is what allowed the Huskies to breathe air into the game.

Great sarcasm but Scoe was bigger than you realize. He had only 4 points and 3 rebounds but his intensity and effort defensively really is a spark and catalyst for the team. Drummond and Scoe were huge today because their energy and effort translated into moving the ball better and playing more up tempo giving us easier looks at the basket. Boatright of course was outstanding and that didn't surprise me one bit as I expect him to play this all time. We have found the winning formula and we need to stick to it.

Maybe my sarcasm detector is broken, but I thought that the statement was valid. And spot on.

In about 6 minutes in the first half, when the game was very much up for grabs, and SHU was leading, Roscoe managed to get a steal, back to back defensive rebounds, back to back jumpers, and capped it off with another steal, at which point we were up 22-13.

This reply wasn't it on 13 posts already?? Scoe played 8 minutes a half (he was good better though) and Andre (good 2nd half minus a couple awful settled fade away jumpers)was in foul trouble inthe first half. Boatright was good and he was a catalyst but "outstanding" is someone who is infatuated and somehow doesn't remember the stupid plays, which by the way count!! 4 bad, bad passes resulting in TO's another attempted alley-oop to Tyler which was a brain fart as the correct pass was a wide open Deandre Daniels in the corner. He was good but you are so intent on being the next fn Kreskin you have forgotten to watch the whole game.

I agree with Upstater, Roscoe provided all the plays that broke the game open. Great to see him play a prominent role again.

I agree, what is ur love fest with Giffey? He's had 1 good game in almost 60 @ UConn and it was 14 months ago.

Oh ok then if you were serious good job then because you are the only person besides me that realizes the importance of Roscoe in todays game and how he provided a big lift for us. When Scoe is happy and playing like he did today with that passion and intensity UConn is a very dangerous team. The curse of the Scoe has been lifted, and its time to get hot and win title number 4.

I watched him today and its like they play with only 4 players offensively. It was disappointing to see him open (and asking for the ball) and his was looked off or not seen. He could have had at least 5 open look shots today. But still he plays on, many players would pout or go into a shell, but not Giffey. My 'love fest' for him is because he doesn't show frustration in his game as he still hustles and plays w/o complaint.

Many observers including the announcers will tell you he has a good stroke but its hard to display it without the ball. He could be a very good collegiate player and shooter. He is a proven champion give him a shot (pun intended).

Fishy mentioned it in a post as well. I'm sure others have noticed that.

This team desperately needs buckets from a wing player other than Lamb.

As stupid as this might sound, Jamal Coombs-McDaniel might be getting some PT right now.

I'm not the biggest Giffey fan in the world, but I do wonder why he's always open out on the wing. Given his 3pt %, you'd think other teams would at least attempt to guard him.
